November 2025
In 2024, AIIB allocated 67% of our regular financing to climate related investments, surpassing the Bank’s 2025 target of 50% for the third consecutive year. However, AIIB’s ambitions do not stop there as we recognize we must do more, do better and do it together with our partners to deliver the change for those that need it most.
The 30th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) will take place from November 6-21, 2025, in Belém, Brazil. It will bring together world leaders, scientists, non-governmental organizations, and civil society to discuss priority actions to tackle climate change. COP30 will focus on the efforts needed to limit the global temperature increase to 1.5°C, the presentation of new national action plans (NDCs) and the progress on the finance pledges made at COP29.
Located in the Blue Zone (PV-B39), the Joint MDB Pavilion at COP30 will feature a series of panel sessions highlighting the collective efforts of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) to accelerate climate action and sustainable development. These sessions aim to foster dialogue, share practical experiences, and showcase collaborative approaches that support countries and clients in meeting their climate and resilience goals. All AIIB panel sessions at COP30 will be held in the Joint MDB Pavilion.
